Carpentry Confidence Workshop

Our Workshops

FOUNDATIONS: Carpentry Confidence Workshop (4 Hours) 8:30- 1pm

FOUNDATIONS is a hands-on workshop that introduces you to our space, tools and project planning.

You will learn practical skills while contributing to a real project happening in the Reclaimed Commons space. Each session focuses on a different live build, giving you relevant, applied experience as you grow your confidence with tool skills. I will also help you get started on designing and preparing your own projects so next time your ready to get creative, bringing your ideas to life.

~~~~~
FOUNDATIONS is the entry point into our wider community of making and skill-sharing. After completing the workshop, you’ll be ready to come back to our Thursday or Friday guided open sessions to work on your own projects with guidance and support. If you don’t have your own project you are welcome to continue to build your skills working on a community project.
The aim is for this space to accomodate and support people wanting to develop their D-I-Y skills, artists wanting to build their own installations or sculptures, activists wanting to take positive environmental action through recycling timber and other waste materials and people wanting to provide help to others in their community.
We are committed to being inclusive and accessible. If cost is a barrier, please reach out, we will support your participation.
