Reclaimed Commons acknowledge the Awabakal and Worimi people as the traditional owners of the country where they create, build, collaborate, and live. We recognise that sovereignty was never ceded and pay our respect to Elders’ past, present and emerging.

About Reclaimed Commons
Reclaimed Commons is a space run by Artist and Carpenter Pete Parslow, who’s dream is to equip and inspire people to bring their BIG DREAMS to life.
Reclaiming the commons is a concept that Pete feels passionate about, it means both reclaiming everyday practical skills as something that everyone should have access to and also coming together and being active participants in growing spaces and dreams rather than just inhabiting corporatised spaces.
The reclaimed commons space is made to be an inclusive, hands-on community hub where people of all ages and backgrounds come together to learn, share, and grow through practical skills, art, education and repair.
The focus is to build resilience and agency through the joy of creating.

Our Ways
Learning through doing
We want everyone to be creative problem solvers! The magic that happens when things don’t go exactly as planned through skill-sharing carpentry and creative practice.
Sustainability & resource(fullness)
Through repair, reuse, and DIO (Do it ourselves) culture. Our design process is material led, sourcing waste material before hand and designing according to what we have rather than what we need.
A place for community, friendship & care
Providing a space for social connection and community wellbeing. Ensuring accessibility and inclusivity for people of all skill levels, abilities, genders, and backgrounds.
Projects for the community
Learning practical skills whilst working collaboratively on a project for the community provides an opportunity for everyone to make a positive local impact.
Equity
Our pricing is tiered according to income as we believe it’s important to meet everyone where they are at.
